There are various types of human hair weaves available. How good your hair weave looks is absolutely determined by the quality of the hair installed. Virgin hair (hair that has never been processed) is the most popular grade of weave hair because this hair can be used for multiple installs and it can also be color treated. African American women have many different textures of hair; luckily there’s a variety of different textures and types of weave that can suit just about any texture. The most sought after types of weave are Brazilian, Peruvian, Indian, Malaysian and hair.

How About the Quality of Brazilian, Indian, Peruvian, Malaysian Human Hair Weaves?

Each type of weave is characterized by a particular texture and comes in multiple wave patterns including straight, wavy, deep wave or tight curly. For help deciding which human hair extension will work for you, take a look below!

1. Virgin Brazilian Hair

Brazilian hair is the most sought after texture on the market right now and one of the best textures for African American women. The texture of Brazilian hair is softness, durability and density (thickness) and just flat out fabulous. I just love how natural Brazilian hair looks and feels. Because of the density of Brazilian hair, you may not want to use as many bundles as you would normally use with other textures to create a full look. Due to its natural density, with this hair, less is more. It is less likely to frizz than other hair types like Malaysian or Indian Hair. Brazilian hair will also hold curls longer than Indian or Malaysian textures.

2. Virgin Indian Hair

Virgin Indian hair is dense and can be good match for the texture of black women's hair. Since Indian Virgin Hair is very textured and comes with a very natural luster. This particular texture is very free flowing and low maintenance. It’s naturally airy, light and bouncy and can easily be curled and styled. Indian hair moves effortlessly with minimal products. This hair texture can be found ranging from silky to lightly coarse.

3. Virgin Malaysian Hair

Malaysian hair is very soft and highly sought after texture and a very popular option among celebrities. It blends best with relaxed textures and girls with very fine, silky hair.
The curls in Malaysian hair are fabulous. It’s extremely manageable and has luster of its own. If you do purchase the straight hair, I recommend purchasing a closure piece for the top instead of leaving out any of your own because the fine texture is often a poor match for the wearers' hair.

Malaysian hair has an extremely luxurious feel and is sleek and shiny, but not excessively shiny. Its luster is low to medium-similar to Brazilian hair. This hair hold curls extremely well without the use of products. This hair blends very well with most hair types including African American. This hair is amazing-you will love it!

4. Virgin Peruvian Hair

Peruvian hair blends well with African American, relaxed and natural as well as medium, coarse caucasian hair textures. Peruvian Hair is the ultimate multipurpose hair! Peruvian hair is lightweight, free flowing and luxurious. You can have up to five bundles of a Peruvian hair installed yet still maintain a feathery light, maintainable style.

Peruvian textured hair is very lightweight and extremely easy to manage. It’s the perfect mixture of coarse/relaxed texture. This hair is Luxurious and another one of our favorites.

No two bundles of Virgin human hair are alike. Since the hair is Virgin, each bundle will have a different texture, pattern and hair color than what you may have seen in photos or elsewhere. We will strive to send you hair that matches as closely as possible. Although mixing curl or wave patterns that are similar is often practiced by many who wear extensions.

Virgin human hair weaves are very easy to manage. Four key pointers to managing virgin types of weave are; (1) wash hair with sulfate free shampoo and use moisturizing conditioners; (2) use a paddle brush and a wide tooth comb; (3) do not use a ton of oils on your hair; and lastly, (4) consult with a professional before using chemicals on your investment.
