SILK AND LACE CLOSURES
When it comes to wearing a weave I for one would like for my hair extensions to look as natural as possible. I can NOT be out here looking like a Lil’ Kim reject (no offense). But aint nobody go time for that lion from the Wizard of Oz look. I want the hair to damn near look like its growing out of my scalp if I can help it. This is why I was so excited to incorporate silk base closures and lace closures into my life.
Silk and Lace Closures:
I cannot begin to tell y’all how much this thing has saved me and my natural hair from heat damaged, breakage and overall tension on my edges and hair follicles. I LOVE the silk base closures and lace front closures with a passion! I love these options because you can wear any hair texture or color without putting any additional stress on your natural hair.
There have been many arguments over which is better, the lace front closure of the lace base closure. First, let me explain to all my newbies what a closure is. A closure is a hair piece that is about 3-6 inch in width and length with hair stands embedded into the base to give the illusion of a scalp; normally worn the protect one’s natural hair.
A closure can come in as “free part” which is gives the wearer the ability to part the hair anywhere. While a Pre-Parted closure comes with a pre-plucked part, either on the left side, right side, center or all three.
So there you have it ladies, my full and extensive view point and advice concerning silk and lace closures. Just be careful out there and be sure to choose wisely. Until next time. Smooches!!
